Reading & Movie Programs (Seasonal)

During the Winter months, when it’s too cold to go outside and you’d rather cozy up with a good book or movie, the library offers two programs:

The Winter Reading Program allows patrons of all ages to try and win prizes simply by reading books or magazines! Each library book or magazine read or listened to is a chance at winning one of several prizes. Click here for rules and dates.

Movie Bingo allows movie lovers to have some fun too! Pick up a Movie Bingo board from the library, choose library movies/TV shows to fit the categories to make bingo and write the titles in the appropriate spaces. Movies/TV shows can be from the library’s collection, requested from another library, or streamed via Hoopla. Each time you make bingo is a chance at winning one of several prizes! Click here for rules and dates.

During the Summer months, when the days are longer and there’s nothing better than a lazy afternoon with a good book, the library offers a program that is offered to various age groups:

The Summer Reading Program for Kids & Teens encourages reading to bridge the gap between school sessions. For these programs, a certain number of library books  or magazines need to be read or listened to (and it’s reader’s choice as to what book or how long/short it is!) according to the grade they are going into. For this, they get a prize and a chance at one of several larger prizes! After that, every book or magazine read or listened to is a chance at winning a prize!

Our Summer Reading Program for Adults is run just like our Winter Reading Program – every library book or magazine read or listened to is a chance at winning one of several prizes!
